Wednesday the Fourth Week of Lent – Call to Action
We are called to love.
Luke 10:27
Jesus said: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and love your neighbour as yourself.
The words of this scripture appears in both the old and new testaments, and it is our call to action. We are called to LOVE!
Sadly many people don’t seek the connection to God to fuel up on love, many people don’t truly love themselves making it so hard to find God within and/or love others well. The simple fact of the matter is that life is hard. Life is hard and loving can even be harder!
What can make it easier is seeing life, seeing others with loving eyes. Seeing life and others with a soft loving gaze. Jesus had a loving gaze. Jesus looked at others and situations with love, deep heartfelt love. We are to model the behaviour of Jesus. Jesus does not judge. Jesus does not criticize. Jesus does not compete. Jesus loves!
We are called to look at all we see through the lense of love. We are hardwired with Christ like qualities. Exercising our ability to have a loving gaze keeps the vertical strong. The more we tap into those Christ like qualities and model the behaviour of Christ in all we see, all we say and all we do, we are on the right path in loving other well.
Loving others well, is showing up authentically, truthfully and honestly for the people in our lives. Not always the easiest task to show up lovingly. No one person is as perfect as Jesus, this side of heaven. Our call is to live heaven on earth, to live in harmony with God and others. The action then is to try and try again. Knowing all is grace and if we just keep putting one foot in front of the other eventually it will become a way of life. The more we choose to model our Christ like qualities, the easier it gets to live in harmony.
The harmonious call to action is a choice, a brave choice! A heart, mind, soul and strength brave choice. May you choose love. May you always choose love ❤
