Strengthening the Vertical – Breathwork and Movement

Sunday the Fifth Week of Lent – Breathwork and Movement

This week we have been focusing on our Call to Action! The action we are called to is LOVE! To model our Christ like qualities and be the best we can be for all who are in our lives (including ourselves).

Being mindful and intentional about the things we say and do is not an easy task. It takes many starts, and restarts. Just like a Lent journey, 40 days staying true to your Lent intention(s) does not come easy and often requires us to hit the reset button and try again. Having a routine, being able to put first things first, momentum can be found.

Just as our relationship with God, ourselves and others, it takes time and effort to cultivate that right heart attitude to bravely and consistently model our Christ like qualities which strengthens our vertical and helps us fulfill what we were hardwired to do. Love!

One of my favourite scriptures that helps me remember my Call to Action, that prompts me to allow the Holy Spirit to guide me to surrender and allow me to reset and get back to the right heart attitude is John 14:6. Here Jesus said: I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. This scripture resets my heart, mind and soul.

Trust me friends, taking the moment to look to the cross and know that the breath within you (the breath of the Lord, the Holy Spirit within) can calm any storm on the horizontal and strengthen your vertical. When we can be our true selves, the ones God hardwired us to be, we can fulfill our Call to Action – Love others well!

I hope you enjoy this short breathwork and movement exercise ❤
