Episode 14

Welcome to Holy Wednesday! Today’s episode discusses meditation practices. Meditation is an ancient practice that helps calm the mind and instill a sense of tranquility and peace within the body, mind, and soul. Meditation practices provide both physical and cognitive benefits which offers a greater sense of balance in all areas of our lives. The health benefits of meditation are so vast (here are just a few): mental calmness, emotional awareness, present focused, enhanced attention, stress management, builds kindness and compassion, increases joy and vitality by reducing negative and toxic thoughts. Meditation builds endurance and patience with all things we encounter in this life and allows us to remain present to the wonderful things the Lord has in store for us! Meditation is life giving and when we can bring scriptures into our meditation it increases the health benefit exponentially! I personally find great value in meditating daily. Then, weekly I do a lengthier meditation practice. Carving out that time is important for my self-care practice. I have a favourite go to podcast and I am truly grateful for Amy at Cultivate Connection for the work she has done with her podcasts. The ‘What’s Your Word’ series is a staple in my self-care meditation routine. Her work has truly been a blessing upon my spiritual journey. I encourage you to find a meditation practice that resonates with you. If you would like to try my favourite podcast, check out the Cultivate Connection website: https://cultivateconnection.com/
